Automation RPA

Automated readout of logistics information

Using a robot, we were able to extract information from emails and automate the corresponding activities, in this case to generate logistics orders.

Before we optimized the process, different branches of the international company sent mails to the head office to order postage labels.

Often, these mails were then printed out, labels were ordered individually on the website of the logistics provider and then these labels were emailed to the field offices.

Using RPA, we built a robot that extracted the required information from the freely formulated emails and then enters these orders into a database. At night, an RPA robot then reads the database and orders the labels via the web and sends them by email to the customer. The turnaround time was thus reduced from 36 hours to a maximum of 12-14 hours and the manual effort was reduced by 80% to a low-threshold control.
